Theme: Birds in Winter
Deadline: February 1st 2013 at 11:59PM Eastern Time (USA)
Criteria:
All submissions must include a bird as the focal point with an obvious winter theme to it. Snow and defoliated trees are examples. The appearance of a bird being cold can count (puffy/huddling together).
Residents in the southern hemisphere/tropical areas: A wintering bird in your area or a photo of a bird taken in previous winters can be accepted. If you live in Florida, submitting a bird in winter/basic plumage counts. Image data is required to be accepted if a photograph. DeviantART will do this for you if the image isn't heavily doctored. If you are not sure if your submission counts you can always ask!
Submission Guidelines:
The submission limit is 5. Submissions from previous contests can be submitted here except for winning pieces. All forms of artwork (digital, traditional, literature, and photography) can be submitted. Artists of all skill levels can submit. Submissions can be of any date. Photographs must be taken in winter. Submissions must belong to you. If you are using stock for photo manipulation please ask the owner beforehand. You do not have to be a member to participate. This contest is open to all DA members. Submissions need to be placed in the Winter Bird Contest 2012 folder. If you are unsure if your submission meets the guidelines you can always comment in the journal or note the group.Voting Rules:
Due to the severe lack in voting last contest ALL WHO SUBMIT MUST VOTE. If you do not vote your submission will be disqualified.
